Compresses video files making them take up less space on your hard disk, but also reduces their quality. Modifies the framerate, resolution and audio bitrate. Works with MP4, MPG, FLV, and other popular video formats.

Advanced Video Compressor is intended to help you save a lot of storage space and minimize the time you take to upload your clips to the Internet by compressing and transcoding video. The tool supports importing many popular video formats, including MPG, MKV, FLV, WMV, WebM, 3GP and Quick Time. Luckily, it can process batches of files thus saving you a lot of valuable time.

In my opinion, its interface is too crowded with options. They allow you to change video formats and compression codecs (including MPEG-4 H.264) as well as other parameters, such as the number of frames per second and resolution. In this respect, you can notice that the program does not support as many output as input formats and that only MP4, FLV, 3GP, and AVI are allowed. However, there is an easier way to do this by picking one of the available presets, which are optimized to produce the best results with the minimum size for various devices and purposes. Fortunately, you can create and save your own conversion profiles. It is also very convenient that you can visually compare the size of the source video with that of the corresponding compressed clip.

This program is not only useful for compressing and transcoding videos; it can also help you perform a few very basic editing procedures. Thus, you can use it to adjust such image parameters as brightness, contrast, and hue. Likewise, it can crop and rotate the video frame as well as extract a specific fragment.

To conclude, Advanced Video Compressor does an outstanding job in drastically reducing file size without noticeable loss of quality. You can try this program without any restriction of features. However, it leaves a watermark on the output video.
